Wow:  It's not often a piece of music makes me weepy, but this was really powerful.  It's best to look at the lyrics while listening to the song...it's amazing. I'm glad he's done this.  Hope he returns with a vengeance.
I've heard other recent anti-war songs, like Beastie boys, that are really controversial....wonder how this one is being recieved?

I hate to say it but in relation to Zack de la Rocha you are totally wrong. He has been doing stuff on music basis of his career. In particular, he was working with Blackalicious on a track called "Release" which is out now and has been for quite a few months.
So I would suggest u get ur facts straight b4 u go sprouting off about things u do not know. Plus, just coz Zack hasn't released an album doesn't mean he hasn't been working his butt off. In fact since his break from R.A.T.M. he has been calloborating with likes of DJ Muggs, Wu Tang and Beastie Boys.
Nice to know about his Anti-War song altho tha war is already ova.

Wrong about what?  I didn't say that he hasn't come out with new stuff.  I just said I have been waiting for new stuff forever.  And this is a good preview of what might be on his upcoming album.

I am very aware of all of Zack's work since his departure with Rage.  I had one of the most extensive Rage Against The Machine websites called Bullsonparade.com for years.  I am an avid fan of Zack's.  I own the Blackalicious album 'Blazing Arrow' with Release on it.  He doesn't rap on that song, however, and I am most excited about that element of his upcoming album.

I am not "spouting" anything, my friend.  The fact is, Zack has not released an album since he broke up with Rage, and that is what I am excited about.  Never did I say that he hasn't collaborated with other people.  I can tell that you feel passionately about the subject, but you seem to translate that into defensiveness.  I recognize that Zack has been working hard for his new album, and that's why I am so excited about it and have expressed that.  I am confused as to where you think I have insulted Zack or labelled him as lazy.

By the way I posted this thread on March 26th, only a few days after March Of Death came out and while the war was very much underway.

Okay then, that particular track was released during the war.  Howeva, that is not what the issue is.  I am simply stating that Zack has been working his butt off for quite a while and I am not simply implying that you think he is lazy.  The fact is he's not.  He has in fact been collaborating with various producers and politically slanderous rap artists since the R.A.T.M.  It's great to find another avid fan of one of my favourite bands.  I did not mean to insult you in any way, shape or form.  No hard feelings.  

By the way, I am planning to set up a website for music lovers only and since you've had some experience in web design I was wondering if you'd care to lend a hand?
